This novella was an engaging and fun filled vehicle for expanding character development and for granting rabid fans of the Series, like myself, a tidbit of literary appeasement while we await the release of the next novel in this delightful Series. The author's blending of humor, fun emotions, charter introspection and interpersonal relationship was impressive. The writing was so clear and concise and the scenes were portrayed so authentically that I felt as if I was there with Violet, Natalie and Cooper in the purple door saloon observing everything. Nevertheless, IMO, the story was far too short even for a novella. That being said, this is still one of my favorite Series and I anxiously await the next long, full length novel in this unique and frequently captivating Series.Product details

Violet is on a mission to find out what really happened between Nat and Coop and if it takes a little tequila to loosen Nat's lips than she is up for the challenge! This short really is laugh out loud funny as Violet and Nat celebrate with a party of their own as only life long friends can!

I love the short stories by Ann Charles! Not only because they are in between her longer novels but because we get the inside scoop on the characters that we don’t read about in the books. They are a fun way to learn all of the “secrets” that were kept hidden or people tried to hide. Not only does tequila make your clothes fall off but it also helps to loosen your lips. Definitely a must read for anyone who reads Ann’s Deadwood series and if you are looking for a wonderful series then I highly recommend any of Ann’s stories!
I love the crazy, quirky world of this series. And I love the short stories that Ann throws our way in between the books. It's just enough to keep me satisfied until I can join Violet, Natalie, Doc, Harvey, and all the rest of the gang in Deadwood.
Tequila & Time is hilarious. Violet and Natalie are spending some 'girl time' at the bar, downing shots of tequila and playing some truth or 'drink'. I learned so much about those two women and laughed along the way. Those two are best, best friends and I loved learning more about their friendship.
This novella, like all of the other Deadwood Shorts, is a perfect addition to the Deadwood series. In them, we get a little more of the back stories for our favorite characters that, had these stories been included in the novels, would have slowed down the books. In this short, we get to see Violet and Natalie work through the Violet and Doc thing, but also we get to find out more of what happened between Natalie and Cooper all those years ago. And while those may sound like some heavy subjects, the humor in this book is what many love and have come to expect from Ms. Charles.
This latest Deadwood Short Story,by Ann Charles is a great and fun read..
It's Violet Parker's,best friend,Natalie's birthday. The two best friends are celebrating, at,The Purple Door Saloon,in Deadwood.
The two of them are playing Drink or Dare.
And the questions they ask each other are definitely not G rated.
But the fun is in the answers and the game of pool they play,while totally wasted.

Ann Charles has done it again with another Deadwood Shorts book! These short novellas give us an inside peek into some of the characters in her books. Tequila and Time tells the story of best friends Violet and Natalie as they attempt to extract secrets from each other while drinking tequila shots and playing pool. The girls night out does not disappoint. Filled with surprising truths, the girls choose to not tell all about their love interests. The shots of tequila go down a little too smoothly at times which makes for fun times and some laugh out loud moments. Loved this book. The end
will leave you wanting more and more. Best friends, secrets, and tequila...what more could you ask for?!
What another great Deadwood Shorts novella! I love the drinking game "Truth or Drink" that Violet and Natalie play! The secrets come out more and more as the night at the bar goes on. And boy are some of them HOT, HOT, HOT!! This short story does not disappoint, and it really makes the reader anxious for the next book in the Deadwood Series.
Truth or Drink? What would you do when your best friend asks you an extremely personal question that you have yet to share with your BFF, even though you swear you tell them all? Read this short story to find out how Violet and her BFF Natalie play this game and what the final outcome is. Believe me, it will leave you wanting more.
