Second book of the series, and Eran Gradot delivers again a great follow-up story for the more adventurous readers. I purchased this second book for my 5 year old daughter, especially after she really enjoyed the first one. The main reason behind this is that I want to stimulate her imagination and creativity by reading her this kind of stories, and also I want to keep her mind occupied and distracted by all of the today's media rubbish and bad influence. The hand-drawn illustrations is what she enjoys most, but of course the story-telling behind them is also appealing. And make no mistake, this book is also enjoyable for the grown-ups (just like me) who are looking for a relaxing and fun tale of misteries and animations!

Fighting ghots and whitches never gets old, and both me and my daughter loved the second ride Andy is taking into the magical realms that the author creates so vividly. The story is catching, fast paced and full of misterires and secrets to be revelead. And I need to mentioned the nice metaphor the author creates here, with the ghost of Andy's grandparent guarding him and looking after him. This should really connect to every kid out there and it should deliver a strong life lesson ahead!

Overall I really liked the read here. We should have more books written like this, since everybody has a living child inside and this story telling truly brings him to life. A great family experience, I am grateful Mr. Gadot!

So glad to be a part of Andy and his Grandpa’s adventures again. After our first encounter with these two, I had no choice but to get the second part of this series - my kids made sure of that. I am quite happy to see that Andy’s journey continues with action- packed scenes and entertainment. This time he discovers witches and fights with them; of course with the eternal ghost of his beloved grandfather by his side – they are such a team. It’s just as exciting as the first book and worth the read. But don’t think for one moment that Supernatural Hero and the Witches is only about witches and ghost! The writer skillfully​ incorporates the real lives of Andy, his family and friends and the challenges, fears, hopes and joys that children Andy’s age face. It really is a fantastic continuation of Volume 1.
Supernatural Hero and the Witches (book 2) is a fun, engaging read for kids (tweens/pre-teens) AND adults! I don't typically get in to the supernatural but this makes me want to explore the genre a bit more. I have not read the first book in this series but this was a great standalone and made me want to read the first while making me hopeful for a third. I thought the characters were easy to love and I loved the pace of this story with all its discovery and adventure through the eyes of Andy and his girlfriend Zoe. One of my favorite aspects of this book were the illustrations at the beginning of each chapter. They appear to be hand-drawn and really add something special to the book – something that kids would probably appreciate as well.

I recommend this book to people of all ages who enjoy fun, engaging reads about the supernatural and things like witches and ghosts! It’s definitely a page-turner and I happened to read it in one sitting.
I recently read the first book in this series, so when I saw the second part was released I bought it right away. I also read it right away, before gifting it to my nephew, for whom I originally bought Book 1 in the series.

I loved visiting with Andy again, and following his adventures as he battles ghosts and witches with the help of his grandpa’s ghost. I really love that concept, by the way--having the ghost of your beloved grandpa by your side as you go though life. I’m sure this idea will strike a chord with many youngsters as well as a lot of adults. It’s hard to loose a beloved grandparent, and I, for one, still sometimes wish my grandpa was around to help me get through life.

Overall, I found this book to be just as well written as the first. The story was very engaging and fast paced, and once again carried a moral, which I think is very important for books targeted at tweens.
I'll leave the plot and character details to the other reviewers...I want to talk about the reading experience. As a parent of two young people, I'm responsible for introducing them to books that don't expose them to stuff they are not yet prepared to process, that ignites their imagination, expands their awareness, and that positively reflects their reality and experience as young people. And that busts their boredom. And that are well written. No small task, this. Supernatural Hero meets and exceeds all my requirements. This book is artful and delightful (with hand drawn illustrations). Thoughtful and insightful. Entertaining and captivating. Mature and youthfully innocent. And it is well constructed...the author states on his page that he still feels like a boy and his style of writing is evidence of this eternal youthfulness tempered by the experience of grown-up'ness. He understands how young people mediate reality (for example, the use of 'chunking'...formatting short concise paragraphs with clear separation between each paragraph, which heightens reading comprehension for young people and those who spend a lot of time online - which is all young people). He clearly understands the way that young people read, and how they perceive the world and themselves. He understands and reflects in the story the psychology, logic, self-discovery, angst, and sense of proportion that young people experience when encountering love, mystery, fear, uncertainty, confusion, competitiveness, and happiness. Supernatural Hero was a pleasure to read. I'm sure my young people will enjoy it (and I can't wait to quiz them about the 20 nerd facts). Six stars!
