I really liked An American Love Story! Tessa is healing from the breakup of a long term relationship that started when she was young. I was first impressed with the courage it took to end such a long relationship. Tessa has a close family and I liked the interactions she has with her dad. The story pulled me in and kept me hooked until the end. I found the characters quite likeable and it was wonderful to see Tessa heal and fall in love again; this time with the right guy.

I understand that An American Love Story is based on the author's real experiences, which made the story even that more special to me. It's heartwarming, clean, romantic and fun. I'd recommend this story for those of dating age and up. My only complaint is that it ended too soon. I know it's a novella, but I wanted more of these great characters. :) Also, beautiful cover!

What a too short read! It was awesome of course, but that's a familiar thing with C.S. Moore's books! <3
Short read, but a nice little story for a quick afternoon read. Enjoyed the characters and thought a longer book could've worked for this story line.
An American soldier who is on leave finds a lost soul who is lost herself. Together they are beautiful. This book could have been a little longer, but it was a cute story.
Nothing quite like reading a story and catching a little glimpse of your life -- I was definitely caught up in the story. It is a sweet story of healing and opening your heart to love and the possibility of a happily ever after.
This book goes to prove that a true romantic book doesn't need all the crudeness and language that's in a majority of books out there. Great down-to-earth real life story that'll have you cheering for them in the end! Not only is it a love story, but it's a great example of what families and friendships should be!
I do not usually read novellas but a friend recommended this to me and as my title says it did not disappoint! The author sucked me in with her true to life story and I couldn't put it down. I find myself wanting to hear the rest of their love story. Well done C.S. Moore
This story is about a young girl who was in a dead end relationship, where her ex didn't exactly treat her the way he should have. Over the period of the relationship he damaged her self esteem and bruised her spirit but before he completely destroyed her she managed to get the strength to finally break the relationship and not look back. She went on a couple dated after but had no luck until she met Garrett. A military guy who just got back from the war and knew exactly what he wanted in life.
This book was really cute and I did enjoy it. The only complaint I have was that I felt like it ended really quickly. So truly that's not much of a complaint. I hope you enjoy this great,"American Love Story."
